- Stubbs The Zombie preview - PC.IGN has posted
a new
preview of Stubbs The Zombie, checking out the PC version of the game
which is due out next week.
- First images of Splinter Cell 4 - Xbox Circle has snagged
a couple rough glimpses of the upcoming Splinter Cell 4. Reportedly ripped
from a SP4 trailer, the images reveal an incarcerated Sam Fisher attempting to
break out of prison. Update: Better quality shots over at XBoxyde.
- Cuban Missile Crisis: The Aftermath Gone Gold - Strategy
First and 1C Company today announced that
Cuban Missile Crisis: The Aftermath has gone gold and will be released at
the end of the month.
- Battleground Europe ships - GMX Media and Cornered Rat Software
(CRS) have announced that the highly anticipated
Battleground Europe for the PC is available in stores across the UK,
Finland and Australia today.
- Legion Arena ships -
The official
Slitherine Strategies website has word that Black Bean's role-playing
strategy game (Legion
Arena demo) is now available in their online store and in shops in Western
Europe, with the U.S. in-store date set as November 22.
- Bone Demo/Trial updated -
There is an updated playable demo for Bone, giving you another opportunity
to try out this comic-inspired 3D adventure game by Telltale Games. This new
demo is smaller and offers a 30-minute trial period, the option to bypass
mini-games, and other enhancements.
- Hearts of Iron II patch v1.3 - Paradox Interactive has released
a new patch for Hearts of Iron II, updating their World War II strategy
sequel to version 1.3.
- rFactor Tools - Image Space has released
the
public development tools for rFactor, allowing mod authors to alter their
recent modern racing simulation game.
- Tactica Online Beta Sign-ups - The first batch of public testers
will be able to start playing in a couple of weeks, and successive batches
will increase the size of the pool. Initial numbers will be limited, but we
appreciate the enthusiasm shown by community members over the past few months,
and to show that appreciation preference for early stages of the
Beta Test
will be given to
forum members.
- Elevation To Acquire Lionhead? -
MCV is
reporting that following the acquisition of BioWare and Pandemic Studios,
investment firm Elevation might be set to buy Black & White developer Lionhead
Studios. Analysts estimate Lionhead, which also counts The Movies amongst its
lucrative IP, is worth £50-80 million. Elevation is known to have a warchest
of $2 billion and is actively acquisitive.
- Final Fantasy XII demo blowout - Final Fantasy XII may be
perpetually delayed, but
its demo should arrive bundled with Dragon Quest VIII in the States
shortly.

- Man Kills Over Game of Madden -
The
Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported that a game of Madden 2006 turned sour
and resulted in 18-year-old Braddock resident Erskine Smith being charged in
the deaths of Jonathan Hudson, 19, and Daniel Underwood, 17 and injuring the
fourth player (whose identity was not released).
