Abe Lincoln Must Die will premiere on GameTap on February 22, and will
be released worldwide from Telltale's website on March 8.
- Mass Effect Interview - ShackNews has posted
an interview with project manager Casey Hudson talking about
Mass Effect,
BioWare upcoming sci-fi RPG. Mass Effect doesn't arrive on the Xbox 360
until May 2007, so we probably wouldn't see the rumored PC release until
late next year.
- The Show trailer -
The Show Website offers
a second trailer for Sixteen Tons Entertainment's upcoming
action-oriented real-time strategy game.
- Post-Time Horse Racing Demo - The Post-Time Website now offers
downloads of
a playable
sample of Post-Time Horse Racing, Syntasoft's simulation of the sport of
kings. The horse racing simulator includes a system that allows horses to
evolve over a race season, mutliplayer support, 200 horses, real-time
changing odds and a new jockeying system.
- Beyond Divinity Patch v1.47 - Larian Studios now offers
a new patch for the
English edition of Beyond Divinity, updating the RPG sequel to version
1.49. The update adds support for Windows vista, and removes the
much-reviled StarForce copy protection scheme. Woot!? :-)
- Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines unofficial retail patch v2.8 -
Here's a new unofficial patch for Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines,
bringing the first-person action role-playing game by Troika Games to
version 2.8. As always, this is an unsupported, third-party patch, and this
release includes another 14 gameplay tweaks and bug fixes as detailed in the
carefully formatted change notes.
- Half-Life 2 Insects Invasion v1.0.7 -
Insects
Infestation has updated to v1.0.7. New features are on tap as well as
bug fixes, or insect fixes, or something.
- Dreamlords Launches -
The Dreamlords Client Page offers downloads of version 1.0 of the client
and a first client patch for this cross genre MMOG (gameplay
movie)

- Warhammer Online Beta Events Listed - The official Warhammer
Online web site has posted up
a list of events this year where EA's Mythic division will be showing
off builds of their upcoming fantasy MMORPG.
- Hardcore Gamers: A Thing of the Past? - RPG and MMORPG players,
as well as adventurers are considered by many to be the hardcore of gamers.
But despite big sales of big games are hardcore gamers in danger of
extinction. Are games dumbing down so more casual players can play them or
are we truely dying out.

- Rayman Raving Rabbids Gets Xbox 360 Extras -
IGN reports that the Xbox 360 port will get a graphical update, two new
mini-games and the ability to use the Xbox Live Vision camera for
gesture-movement control in about half of the 70 or so mini-games in the
title.
- Lost Planet Multiplayer Maps Video (Xbox 360) -
YouTube
has a video of some of the new upcoming Lost Planet multiplayer maps.
The maps look fantastic, even better than the ones included with the game,
if you can believe it.
- Full Auto 2 Demo Coming To PS3 - Sony has announced that a
playable demo for Full Auto 2: Battlelines will be available for download
for Playstation 3 ownwers later today.

- Lucasarts Tech Demo Unleashed - LucasArts has stated that
this new tech is only viable on next-gen consoles, so don't expect to
see the same effects in the PS2 or PSP version.
- Sony Selling Cell Production -
Sony is trying to salvage its chip division by outsourcing production of
the Cell processor, used in the PlayStation 3. According to a Reuters
report: "Sony Executive Deputy President Yutaka Nakagawa told reporters that
investment in chips would come down significantly from the 460 billion yen
($3.8 billion) allocated over the three business years since April 2004."
- Former Take Two Interactive CEO Pleads Guilty In Stock Fraud Case -
Take Two Interactive
CEO Ryan Brant has pleaded guilty to charges of false filing in a stock
investigation and has agreed to pay $7.3 million in penalties. Brant, who
was a founder of Take Two in 1993 and was its CEO until 2001.
