another
movie trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost, showing off the
atmospheric technology deployed in the first-person RPG/action game in the

Publishing and developer Idol FX have released a patch for
Nosferatu: The Wrath
of Malachi that will address known sound and video issues with ATI videocards.

- New World Order Demo v1.42 - Project Three Interactive has released
a new
playable demo of New World Order, the team-based tactical shooter by

- Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna Ships - Microsoft Game Studios
today announced that
Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna, the first expansion pack to

This post on SecurityFocus BUGTRAQ Mailing List reveals a conflict brewing
between GameSpy's lawyers and a researcher who uncovered some bugs in GameSpy
software.
- Dead to Rights for PC unplayable? - GameSpot editors were eager to
start playing the new, just-released PC version of Dead to Rights, Namco's
Hong Kong-style shooter that is already available for the Xbox, GameCube, and
PlayStation 2.
However, attempts to get anywhere in the game were rebuffed when an
unavoidable, impassible bug in the game's opening level was encountered.
- Codemaster's delays - Codemasters has updated its
release schedule: Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis XBOX (Spring
2004), Dragon Empires PC (Summer 2004), Wartime Command PC (Summer 2004), Race
Driver 2 (Winter 2004), Race Driver 2 (Winter 2004), Operation Flashpoint 2
(Winter 2004).
- Capital Entertainment Group Closes -
Siliconvalley.com is reporting that Capital Entertainment Group, based in
Seattle and New Haven, Conn., closed its doors last month because it couldn't
raise money to keep its game development operations going.

signups for the Halo for Windows Worldwide Championship have officially
begun.
- Horizons: Empire Of Istaria EU Release Date - Atari is
bringing forward the release date of
Horizons: Empire of
Istaria to December 5th, to ensure eager gamers can get their hands on
this highly anticipated massively multiplayer online role-playing game in
plenty of time before Christmas.
- Kasparov takes virtual draw in 3D chess - Kasparov and the
programmers of "X3D Fritz"
agreed to a draw on the 37th move after three hours and 20 minutes of play
in a hard-fought game in which Kasparov won a powerful rook in exchange for a
bishop and a pawn in the middlegame, but could not convert that slight
material advantage into a victory
- Nintendo iQue pictures, confirmed release titles and screenshots -
Nintendo's iQue release is getting closer.
The iQue
is Nintendo's new console they have announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2003.

mid-october, the controller-style console plugs directly into the TV and comes
with a 64 Mega Bytes Flash Memory Card to store the games.
