- X2: Wolverine's Revenge Preview - GameSpy has posted
a new preview of X2: Wolverine's Revenge, the upcoming super hero action
game from Genepool Software, Warthog and Activision that coming out for both
consoles and the PC.
- IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles Interview - C&VG has posted
an interview with 1C: Maddox Games ' Oleg Maddox as he talks about their
just-gold WWII flight sim sequel IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles.
- Prelude to Darkness patch v1.47 -
A
new patch for Prelude to Darkness is available to take the top-down 3D
role-playing game by Zero Sum Software to version v1.47. There are no
additional details on the changes.
- Max Payne 2 is due out in fiscal year 2004 - According to
this Take 2 press release, Max Payne 2 is due out in fiscal year
2004 as is the movie based gang action game The Warriors and a new Grand Theft
Auto game.
- The Longest Journey Sequel Announced - In addition to the upcoming
Anarchy Online expansion, Shadowlands, Funcom today announced exciting
additions to its product portfolio. Work has started on a new booster pack for
Anarchy Online,
the long-awaited sequel to the award-winning The Longest Journey, and a
brand new Persistent Online World game.
- Will Rock movie - Ubi Soft Entertainment has released
a movie
trailer for Will Rock, showing the fast-paced first-person shooter by
Saber Interactive in action.
- CyPR Media GDC Line Up - At the 17th annual Game Developers
Conference in San Jose next week,
CyPR Media will
showcase four titles that are excellent examples of what independent
developers can create:
Hardwood Solitaire
III (Silver Creek Entertainment),
Orbz (21-6 Productions),
Anito (Anino
Entertainment) and A Tale In
The Desert (eGenesis).
- MechWarrior Movie - According to
this press release, Dean Devlin will produce a movie based on the
best-selling "Mech Warrior" video games. Paramount Pictures is in
negotiations to option the property from Wiz Kids, a Seattle-based game
company, for Devlin's Electric Entertainment, which will develop a screenplay
that Devlin will produce.
- NCSoft Aquires Phantagram - The Adrenaline Vault is
reporting that
NCSoft has acquired a controlling interest in Korean developer Phantagram Ltd.
An NCsoft spokesman Wednesday told the Adrenaline Vault that the only title
purchased as part of the acquisition was Shining Lore. Phantagram continues to
work on Kingdom Under Fire: Crusaders and Strident. All other Phantagram
titles are currently undergoing an evaluation process.
- Blitzkrieg to Germany March 28th - CDV Software says that Nival
Interactive's real-time strategy game,
Blitzkrieg, will
invade Germany on March 28th.
- New World Order Shoots For Gold (North America) - Co-Publishers
Strategy First and Project Three Interactive with developer Termite Games
announced today that their tactical, team-based first-person shooter, New
World Order, has gone gold for North America.
