Activision To Make Transformers Movie Game? - briefly

reports that Activision has grabbed the rights to make games based on the
upcoming yet-unnamed
Transformers
movie. The movie from executive producer Steven Spielberg and director
Michael Bay is due for release in summer 2007.
The movie is a co-production between DreamWorks, Hasbro and Paramount. Activision has an exisiting relationship with Dreamworks Animation, which has resulted in collaborations on Shrek 2, Shark Tale and Madagascar, with over 10m units sold worldwide. Future titles include Bee Movie, Kung Fu Panda and Shrek 3.
Transformers, already the subject of fevered anticipation on Internet forums and fansites, is scheduled to open at US theatres on July 4th, 2007. A spokesperson for the US publisher stated: "Activision does not comment on matters of rumour and speculation".
