A garbage truck driver in November 2024 spotted a discarded gaming PC during his route, rescued it from certain destruction, and brought it home for inspection. After cleaning the water-damaged components and letting them dry for a few days, the system powered on successfully, revealing an AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X (32-core CPU), NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti GPU, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, an ASUS Prime TRX40-Pro motherboard, and a Fractal Design case. The only issues were a non-functional CPU cooler display and the need for a new PSU, which the finder planned to replace.

I hope the data on the drives will reveal who owned it so he can return or, or they can prosecute the owned for inappropriate ewaste disposal.

Obviously from the dozens of AMD (useless driver support) related issues on Steam forums -RoadCraft in particular- the guy chucked it as a pile of shit.

Lesson learned clearly :lol:
