Previous incidents linked to these games, such as a BlockBlasters update that drained over $150,000—including funds from a cancer patient—prompted the ongoing federal investigation. Affected users are encouraged to confidentially report details to the FBI at [email protected] to aid the probe and explore potential restitution. This breach underscores persistent supply-chain vulnerabilities in indie game uploads on major platforms like Steam.
