Yes, that's right, my dear loyal readers, I
won't be writing for about 11 days, so please bear with me. As I
mentioned last year, my family and I didn't get to go on vacation, but
now, after almost two years of non-stop work, I'm really running out of
energy and need to switch off. Do you know that feeling when you start
to lose sight of the difference between reality and virtuality? That's
exactly how I feel right now :P So it's really high time to switch off.
I'll start writing on the website again around November 14, hopefully.

However, to show you that I planned this well in advance, I have some
gifts here... not Christmas gifts, but just because I like to share
things that I like. After all, that's the main reason why I had a BBS,
later I was active on IRC (efnet), then nt.cz (security & warez
blog), I wrote for Tiscali Games for a while, and finally ended up with
this website, which is literally a big part of my life (I've been
writing here since 1999, although Marek founded it in 1998 or maybe
even sometime in 1997). And even if I had so much money that I didn't
have to do anything at all, I would still write, I would just have more
opportunities to improve it... As you know, I've been planning to
rewrite the code for years (don't worry, I'll leave the design alone).
I'd also like to create an AI model that will keep Gameguru running
even after I'm gone. I know it sounds pretty morbid :-) But in the end,
why not!! Unfortunately, it's difficult to find time for all of this.
My priority is my IT company, which is my source of income, so
unfortunately, entertainment has to take a back seat. On the other
hand, it has its positives; it's really nice to feel useful and wanted,
especially when you're over 50... anyone who is that age will certainly
understand what I mean.
Technology has been with me my whole life, and I think this will be a
very elegant final phase. However, I've strayed somewhere I didn't want
to go at all... -) Since I used to sing in a death metal band called Bilharze,
it's probably not surprising that I still listen to this music, and now
I've decided to make some music myself! I've had the domain hatross.com registered for over 20 years, and
now the time is finally right. So the project is called HATROSS! I
spent the whole summer writing lyrics and making music, and the result
is two albums, Digital
Carnage and Lord of the Dead. The second one is extremely brutal,
which is exactly what I like, so I hope someone else will like it too
:-) But I realize that relatively few people listen to this genre.
Anyway, since it was just Halloween, it's the perfect time to share it
with you—both albums are available for download here - enjoy! :P
Then there is also a package of wallpapers (4k), some of which are very
nice. You can download the whole package here. That's
probably all, I've already written more than enough... Now I'm going to
switch off my brain for a few days and see what happens... I hope I'll
recharge enough energy for my next projects!
