Battlefield 6 has been a massive success for EA already, launching with record-breaking player counts and sales numbers. Now, the battle royale experience it has been teasing prior to launch looks like it's ready for prime time too. The company has announced that this part of the experience will be launching tomorrow, October 28, and surprisingly, it will be fully free-to-play. The mode has now been given the name REDSEC, short for Redacted Sector. Battlefield Studios is planning to launch the mode with a gameplay trailer tomorrow at 8am PT / 11am ET. This is the same launch window as the Season 1 kick-off of Battlefield 6, which is carrying a new map and new modes. It's unclear if the mode will require the Battlefield base game, despite being free-to-play, or have its own method of playing.
