Fortnite developer Epic Games is suing Apple after its game was removed Thursday from the App Store. On Thursday morning, Epic implemented a new way to purchase V-Bucks, Fortnite’s in-game currency, allowing users to bypass Apple’s payment system for a discount. Players that choose to purchase directly through Epic pay less for V-Bucks, and Epic keeps the 30% cut that Apple would otherwise take. Apple said the new payment system was “not reviewed or approved by Apple,” and that it would return Fortnite to the App Store once the payment option is removed. Now, Epic is looking to the court system for help in addressing what it calls Apple’s monopolization of the industry. It’s not asking for monetary damages; Instead, Epic wants the court to force Apple away from its “anti-competitive restrictions.” Update 2

It's Apple's app store. They set the rules, and one of those rules is that they get a cut of any profits that developers get from having their app on that app store. It is, in fact, how the app store makes (a shit ton of) money.

Epic are just greedy. And Apple are greedy. This isn't some fight for freedom, this is all about who it is who gets to exploit Fortnite players most, Epic or Apple. Fuck both of them.

Exactly. It's all about who gets the $$. Bunch of greedy f's. The gamer gets 0 in the end, nobody should support them. Trying to use these dumb f gamers as their pawns to push for some support in this, F that!! F'k all of them. All people playing Fortnite.. roflmao.. biggest gathering of f'ing n00b gamers if I ever saw it. I mean even Google is involved now. ROFLMAO! What a f'ing joke!

I already detest Apple (I spit on them in fact) and Epic is a POS too.
