Anomaly Developers has just released the open beta build for its standalone mod for STALKER: Call of Pripyat, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly 1.5. STALKER: Anomaly is built upon the Last Day mod, and continues its way on expanding and adding new features. At the same time, this standalone mod aims to maintain a high level of quality and replay value. According to the developers, its new 1.5 version is now using a custom engine, the XRay-Monolith Engine. Basically, think of it as an enhanced version of the X-Ray Engine that GSC GameWorld used in its STALKER games.

I know this was posted a while ago, but I wanted to chime in.

I've been playing this lots, and will say that it is the best S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod to be released thus far.

Leaps and bounds more stable/faster than anything else. 64-bit client with DX11 AVX support that isn't buggy. All visual effects work. It also has an extremely active Discord and modding community.

Ray of Hope (Multiplayer) is the other mod that I'm keeping an eye on, although they have been surprisingly quiet since July. I feel like the Anomaly Team and RoH should band together...
