Developer PLAYMIND has officially announced The InnerFriend, a psychological horror game coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In The InnerFriend, players are tasked with saving a child, all while having to deal with the horrors and terrors that kids think up while having nightmares. Notable influences on the game include the work of Carl Jung, Stanley Kubrick, The Poltergeist, and other 80’s pop culture. One of the main staples of The InnerFriend is that, while other horror games might rely on jump scares, and other cheap terrors, it instead lets the atmosphere do the talking.

The InnerFriend is set to be released sometime in September 2018 and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
