A new listing has appeared on the Microsoft Store for "Spotify Music – for Xbox," pointing towards an upcoming release for the Spotify app on Xbox One after the app first appeared on PS4 back in March 2015 through an exclusivity deal. According to the description for the app on the Microsoft Store, users can expect the same type of experience that PS4 owners enjoyed with the Spotify app, allowing users to listen to music and playlists in the background while playing games, playback music with headphones through the Xbox One controller, or control music and playlists by using either a connected smartphone or tablet. Spotify Premium subscribers can also enjoy high quality audio and no ads while listening.
