GTA Online Gets New Land Grab Adversary Mode - briefly
(hx) 12:52 AM EDT - Apr,12 2017 - Post a comment / read (1)
Rockstar games has launched the new Land Grab mode for Grand Theft Auto Online.
Claim what's rightfully yours in Land Grab, the latest mode to invade GTA Online. Every minute counts in Land Grab, where teams battle to control territory in an unforgiving cyberspace: shoot the other guy in the neck, grab his turf, reload and repeat. If you don’t do it, someone will do it for you.

Pitting up to four teams against one another and with seven maps to choose from, claim territory by marking it with your team’s neon color simply by running over it. The not so simple part? The army of well-armed rivals who have the very same idea. The team with the most territory at the buzzer wins. Claim what's yours today and earn Double GTA$ & RP in Land Grab through April 24th.

Rockstar are just milking this thing for all its worth, and they're destroying it in the process.

The best thing by far they've done for GTA Online was the Heists DLC. That was some epic coop stuff that really challenged players and rewarded them handsomely afterwards.

But it was hard. They needed voice acting. They needed to spend lots of time on the missions.

What's easy, though? "Adversary". Set up a small arena somewhere on the map, give people weapons and let them do PvP. Development time and effort: minimal. But it's "new content", right? Except people who loved GTA for its co-op. The constant push for more PvP both in free roam and missions is useless.
