What happened with G2A and Gearbox? - briefly
(hx) 11:33 AM EDT - Apr,07 2017 - Post a comment / read (1)
Gearbox Software's distribution deal with G2A is in jeopardy after John "TotalBiscuit" Bain called the Bulletstorm publisher out for backing crooks on Twitter. After Mr. Bain opened "Pandora's Box" by threatening to not cover Bulletstorm or future Gearbox Software titles unless they cut ties with G2A, the publisher reached out to TotalBiscuit for proof of accusations against the game key reseller. Mr. Bain presented documentation to Gearbox Software of complaints from game industry veterans of fraudulent keys being sold on the service and negatively affecting the revenue streams of their businesses to the point that some have folded. After reading through the accusations, Gearbox Software issued a statement and made the following demands of G2A before Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition goes on sale today.

Seriously, who's not a crook here? Ok, I get the G2A, never bought anything from them anyway, but Gearbox is constantly putting out the same shit over and over again. Duke Nukem shit, how many times do you have to release the same game over and over again? Now Bulletstorm and their bullshit remaster.

Games today are a total F'ing ripoff, so you can't blame people for looking for cheaper prices. If G2A is ripping off the publisher it's like vicious circle here since the publisher is ripping off the customer. I feel nothing for either of them. And if G2A is so bad why is there no legal action?
