Microsoft revealed its Xbox Play Anywhere initiative back at E3 last month. It lets you buy participating cross-platform games once and play them on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Microsoft is planning to bring all of its future first-party games to Windows 10 and Xbox One as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative. Today gaming is one of the fastest growing areas of entertainment, with over 19 billion hours of gameplay on Windows 10 alone. Todayâ€™s gamers see their gaming experience siloâ€™d by their devices, where mobile gaming is different than PC and different than console. Equally, content doesnâ€™t extend across experiences. This changes with great new features for Xbox One and the Xbox app on Windows 10. Stay connected with friends on Xbox Live and enjoy even more games across your favorite devices with the Anniversary Update.

With the Xbox Play Anywhere program, you can buy a game once and play on your Windows 10 PC and Xbox One with shared progress, shared game saves and shared achievements. Every new title published from Microsoft Studios will support Xbox Play Anywhere and will be easily accessible in the Windows Store.

Xbox Play Anywhere games will be offered within the new unified Windows Store on both Windows 10 and Xbox One. Youâ€™ll be able to find the content you want faster and purchase game and app bundles, pre-orders, pre-downloads and subscriptions such as Xbox Live Gold.

On Xbox One, gamers will be able to use Cortana commands to find great new games, see what your friends are up to, start a party, accomplish common tasks and turn on your Xbox One by saying â€œHey Cortana, Xbox Onâ€.

Top fan requested features for Xbox One, such as Language Region Independence (allowing gamers to choose any supported language, regardless of their location) and support for background music, will come with the Anniversary Update.

Gamers can enjoy the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on the new Xbox One S. Available starting at $299 USD this summer, with a limited 2TB Xbox One S launch edition available in August for $399 USD, itâ€™s the only console with support for HDR gaming and 4K Ultra HD video and Blu-ray.

Microsoft is now planning to launch Xbox Play Anywhere on September 13th. The new option will require the Windows 10 Anniversary Update on the PC side, and the summer Xbox One update for the console. Games listed in the Xbox Store will include a Play Anywhere logo to indicate they work with the scheme, and Microsoft has a number of titles arriving later this year that will support Play Anywhere. Here's the full list of supported titles so far:

Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, ReCore, Sea of Thieves,Halo Wars 2, Scalebound, Killer Instinct Season 3, State of Decay 2, Ark: Survival Evolved, Cuphead, We Happy Few, Crackdown 3.

Singularity - PC, PS3, Xbox 360 - Raven have stated that Singularity's main gameplay mechanism is a device, known in the game as the TMD (Time Manipulation Device). The TMD has the ability to move a single object through time, both into the future, and into the past. It can also freeze an object in time, and has an 'Impulse' function, which can be used as a weapon once upgraded. The TMD is multifunctional, as it can be used as a powerful weapon, but also as a tool in puzzle solving scenarios. The device's use as a weapon is unconventional when compared to the weapons in other games. For instance, using the TMD's "rewind" function on a human opponent will send them into a "placental" state where they revert to an almost amoebic state, before slowly dying. The device is essential for solving puzzles, such as sending a lock forward in time, causing it to rust it in real time, or sending a broken bridge backwards in time until it returns to a usable state. Sending a tree trunk forwards in time while standing on it will cause it grow very quickly, allowing the player to reach higher areas. (747 hits)
