Electronic Arts and DICE have plans for lots and lots of DLC for Star Wars Battlefront, but don't expect this to include anything based on Disney's new Star Wars: The Force Awakens. A fan recently asked the game's Twitter account if there might be content coming to Battlefront based on the record-setting sci-fi blockbuster. Here's the full response: Our team is focusing on the original trilogy for this release of Star Wars Battlefront.
The Battle of Jakku DLC was released in December, and the events there take place 29 years before Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The DLC features two new maps and a new gameplay mode. The first of the season pass DLC will release in early 2016, and will include over 20 new pieces of galactic tech, four more heroes and villians, 16 additional maps, and four new game modes.
