Steam now offers Early Access to 3dSen PC, an NES emulator for Window, macOS, and Linux that adds a third-dimension to 2D games. 3dSen has had a development timeline that goes back nearly five years, but the end result of how it transforms a classic, 2D NES game is quite a sight to behold. This emulator doesn’t just use visual trickery or stereoscopic effects to make sprites pop out of the screen: It completely transforms the flat, 2D landscape of these titles into a 3D diorama that you can play through, as well as view from different angles. As you’d expect, not every, single NES titles is currently supported, but a respectable list of around 70 games are fully compabtible, and most of these titles usually end up on 10 ten lists of best NES games anyway.
