  • Samsung SSD 850 Pro (128GB, 256GB & 1TB) Review: Enter the 3D Era - Samsung does not cease to amaze me with their SSDs as the 850 Pro just kills it in every aspect. The performance is there. The endurance is the best of the class. Heck, even Samsung's feature and software suites beat the competition by a mile. To be honest, there is not a single thing missing in the 850 Pro because regardless of the angle you look at the drive from, it it will still top the charts. Samsung's heavy investment on NAND R&D and specifically 3D NAND is really paying off in the 850 Pro. Thanks to the more efficient structure of 3D NAND, Samsung has been able to improve all three main aspects of NAND i.e. performance, endurance and power consumption. It will be very hard for anyone to compete with the 850 Pro as the characteristics of V-NAND are superior compared to 2D NAND. The density is also very competitive against the smallest 2D NAND nodes, meaning that V-NAND should not carry a hefty premium over MLC.
  • Windows 9 Preview May Arrive Later This Year - Up until now, we've referred to the next big Windows release as "Threshold." This version is expected to appear in Q2/Q3 of 2015, arriving after what's currently dubbed as Windows 8.1 Update 3 in Q1 2015. Right now it's unclear whether the Threshold platform will be officially called Windows 9 or branded as Windows 8.2. Unnamed sources have told ZDNet that Windows 9 will address Windows 7 users by adding a whole set of new features for desktop users. Windows 8.1 Update 1 began to address this, but the news coming from those sources point to an even larger desktop-oriented focus. Windows Threshold will work and look differently on a desktop than it will on a touch-based device.
  • Windows Threshold: The modern UI takes a backseat for desktop users - Microsoft is hard at work on the next major update to Windows. Threshold, as it is currently known, is a wave of updates coming to Windows and other platforms; much like how Blue brought new features across many of Microsoft's key platforms. While it is still a little unclear if the Threshold update for PCs will be called Windows 9 or something else, what is starting to become known is how that OS will deviate from Microsoft's past. For mouse and keyboard users, Threshold will be the update many have been waiting for as Microsoft continues to move away form the Sinofsky vision of hybrid OS.
  • Galaxy S5 Mini Carries Over Most of Flagship's Features - Samsung today announced the Galaxy S5 mini, a smaller version of its 2014 flagship handset. The GS5 mini manages to include several of the GS5's main features, such as the heart rate monitor, water and dust resistance, fingerprint sensor, private/kid mode, and Ultra Power Savings Mode. Samsung did, however, downgrade many of the specs in order to make the smaller, less-expensive mini. The device has a 4.5-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM. The main camera captures up to 8 megapixels, while the secondary camera captures 2.1 megapixels. The camera offers Samsung functions such as Shot & More, Virtual Tour Shot, and S Studio. The phone has 16GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards up to 64GB. Connectivity options include HSPA/LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and infrared. The Galaxy S5 mini will launch first in Russia this month, and Samsung said it will eventually expand to global markets over time. The Galaxy S5 mini will be offered in four colors: Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold. Pricing and availability in the U.S. was not specified. AT&T only recently launched the Galaxy S4 mini, which was announced last year.
  • Samsung calls iPhone users 'wall huggers' in new commercial - That moment when your phone conveniently chooses the most inconvenient time to run low on juice. Switch your Galaxy S 5 to Ultra Power Saving Mode or swap in a fresh spare battery and say goodbye to the wall huggers for good.
  • Official PayPal app now available for the Samsung Gear 2 - Announced during the launch of the Samsung Gear 2 at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, PayPal's dedicated app for the smartwatch is now available. The app allows you to check-in at local stores to pay for purchases, redeem offers, receive payment notifications, view and manage recent transactions directly from your wrist. The version currently available is listed as 1.40. If you've got a Gear 2 and a compatible device, head on over to Gear manager to download the PayPal app.
  • PayPal freezes over $275,000 in donations to email service - ProtonMail was supposed to be an easy email encryption tool that would finally give us an answer to Internet surveillance around the world. Instead, PayPal has frozen over $275,000 in donations to the project because, a PayPal representative told the company, the American payment service is not sure if ProtonMail is legal. Of course, it is absolutely legal to encrypt email. The freeze remains in place. Most incredible of all, the PayPal representative was unsure if ProtonMail has the necessary government approval to encrypt emails, as though anyone who encrypts needs a license to do so.

Forced to work long hours, she has no choice but to leave Oliver in the care of their new neighbor, Vincent (Murray), a retired curmudgeon with a penchant for alcohol and gambling. An odd friendship soon blossoms between the improbable pair. Together with a pregnant stripper named Daka (Watts), Vincent brings Oliver along on all the stops that make up his daily routine -- the race track, a strip club, and the local dive bar. Vincent helps Oliver grow to become a man, while Oliver begins to see in Vincent something that no one else is able to: a misunderstood man with a good heart.
  • A Most Wanted Man UK TRAILER 1 (2014) - Phillip Seymour Hoffman stars as spymaster Gunther Bachmann in this excellent telling of the book by the master of espionage thrillers, John le Carre. as Microsoft continues to move away form the Sinofsky vision of hybrid OS.

Let's hope they started off with the baseline code from Windows 7 and NOT from Windows 8.

iPhone users are a lot of things. They represent the people who are easily manipulated into buying things they don't need (i.e. can be ripped off easily).

There are many reasons why people would be smart to avoid PayCrap.
