It seems to me that the developers' focus is moving to the wrong direction. Excuse my French, but: WTF?

Apathy Curve(09:11 AM EDT - Mar,17 2014 )
Not sure what you mean by "losing focus." Docking? That was a big part of the original Elite. And this is alpha.

Csimbi(03:10 PM EDT - Mar,18 2014 )
Docking, yes. But not landing inside the dock! I could still live with that (probably just an annoyance you have to deal with until you get a landing/docking computer combo), but did you notice that your ship spins with the station once you're inside? -> WTF?

I'd rather see more focus on proper controls, trading, ship systems, combat and possibly a random mission generator that won't get boring after playing ten "random missions".

Docking is realistic because in space the station would spin around you given the design of the station. Exactly true to the old model elite I played in 1984 on my apple IIc. With that said I hope you willing to stick around because they will be supporting this for a long time and adding many features. No offense intended

I played it in 88, and yes, the station spinning is ok (so you have to rotate the ship, too to align it with the opening).
But why do you have to land inside, and why does you ship stop spinning once you are inside!?
