Far Cry 3 - PC Update 1.03 - patch

Ubisoft has released a new update for the PC version of Far Cry 3. According to the changelog, this patch fixes issues for machines that have more than 32 cores and brings improvements to playlists and rotation for User Made maps. - Added Russian and Czech language support for Steam versions.
- Fixed issues for machines that have more than 32 cores.
- Fixed issues for activation keys bundled with ULC privileges. ULC content will now unlock during activation.
- Improvements to playlists and rotation for User Made maps.

pray tell, how does one get more than 32 cores (or even that many) in a gaming rig and not some multi-socket server?

I agree, hardly a gaming rig in the true term. More a 4 screen workstation working on multiple open progs and several games running in the background. Pretty pathetic anyway and serious overkill, but I suppose you need the other 28 cores to do something to justify it...

More than 32 cores? Do you even need a GPU on a computer (server) that has more than 32 cores?

Singularity - PC, PS3, Xbox 360 - Raven have stated that Singularity's main gameplay mechanism is a device, known in the game as the TMD (Time Manipulation Device). The TMD has the ability to move a single object through time, both into the future, and into the past. It can also freeze an object in time, and has an 'Impulse' function, which can be used as a weapon once upgraded. The TMD is multifunctional, as it can be used as a powerful weapon, but also as a tool in puzzle solving scenarios. The device's use as a weapon is unconventional when compared to the weapons in other games. For instance, using the TMD's "rewind" function on a human opponent will send them into a "placental" state where they revert to an almost amoebic state, before slowly dying. The device is essential for solving puzzles, such as sending a lock forward in time, causing it to rust it in real time, or sending a broken bridge backwards in time until it returns to a usable state. Sending a tree trunk forwards in time while standing on it will cause it grow very quickly, allowing the player to reach higher areas. (812 hits)
