3D Realms revives Earth No More - briefly
(hx) 02:45 AM EDT - Sep,26 2012 - Post a comment / read (4)
D Realms is coming back with a crowdfunded post-apocalyptic first-person shooter. The studio behind Duke Nukem 3D and parts of Duke Nukem Forever is co-producing with an unannounced developer for Earth No More according to Eurogamer, and will soon open the project for funding on games-centric crowdfunding site Gambitious. The game, which depicts an Earth violently responding to humanity's indiscriminate environmental exploitation, was originally slated for release in 2009 but was lost in a mire of shifting developers and financial issues. The intellectual property is owned by Radar Group, where 3D Realms founder Scott Miller is chief creative officer. Miller also serves on Gambitious' five-person advisory board.

The new Duke game was a major disappointment - and you've been working on that for a decade.
Do you think you can do better in the next decade?

I don't care for anything these guys do anymore. As far as I'm concerned, like their games the company is DEAD.

That company is still.. relevant? When did they release anything good? Late 90s?
