I suspect USB devices will also need to meet minimum performance specifications to house a personal workspace.

Win8 looking shit as ever, pathetic noob design development like IE9/10 really. Zero actual useful improvements at all from the looks of it, and I looked real hard.

Ya Win8 doesn't look needed and from what I've seen I'll stick with Win7. I'd prefer a hell of a lot more ways to customize my desktop without having to run to 3rd party solutions. Probably why I enjoy my linux netbook so much. It looks the way I like it.
