Monotone voice, encyclopedic knowledge of Warcraft's universe...yeah, safe to say he's a robot. Or a mandroid. Either way, he's gotten props from gamers for having the nerve -- and the know-how -- to verbally spar with Blizzard. For those not versed in the intricacies of Warcraft lore, The Red Shirt Guy's question concerns the status of the character Falstad Wildhammer. Apparently, Falstad's appearance in the World of Warcraft book 'The Shattering' -- a prelude to the coming Warcraft game expansion, Cataclysm -- indicates that he's sitting on a certain council, while the designers mistakenly believed the character to be long dead. Whoops! Guess keeping track of a fantasy franchise as massive as Warcraft isn't as easy as it looks!

In this response video, Red Shirt Guy confronts his critics, explains why he spoke the way he did in the previous video (nervousness and the weirdness of hearing his voice on the microphone), and explains that he has Asperger's syndrome. He also reveals himself to have much more in the way of guts than the nasty people who made fun of him online. Also, he wears his red shirt again. Bravo, Red Shirt Guy! You are a brave young man.

Nope. I was pretty surprised to see people making fun of this guy. I would think that Blizzcon would be a safe place to geek over all things Blizzard.

Not only did he nail his speech at Blizzcon but he also managed to stump two Blizz employees who are now most likely going to be changing - or have probably already changed - the inconsistency issue he brought up.

Props to him for actually responding to the negative comments in a positive way. He could have gone about that in a totally immature way and sunk to the low that the people insulting him were already at.

I have made this video for a few reasons:
First, to clarify on my voice. As you can see here, I am talking normally.

[Deep breath] I sounded so strange on that initial video because one, I was reeeeaaally reeaally nervous, and two, as I was talking, I could hear how strange my voice was sound on the microphone speakers. AND that made me even MORE nervous, making my voice sound weirder.

Secondly, I would like to clarify on a debate that's been going on on the comments about whether or not I have some sort of mental illness. I indeed have Asperger's syndrome. There. You don't have to argue about it anymore. That is partially why my voice sounded so robotic when it's nervous. [Deep Breath] Fortunately, I have a minor to mild case, so it's not as bad as some might be. Just wanted to get that out.

Also, I will NOT say my World of Warcraft character's name, because I do not want to be constantly messaged. But I will say my World of Warcraft Guild's name! They are Carpe Imperium on Malfurion US. If you are interested in World of Warcraft, which I know many people who actually like the video and are not just making fun of me are, and are on the Malfurion realm, you should give them a message. Thank you.

I didn't find his speech weird in the first place. He sounded serious and a bit nervous, that's all. What was he supposed to sound like? John Cleese? Xzibit? ....
