Croteam's original Serious Sam franchise is coming to GOG.com, beginning today with the release of Serious Sam: The First Encounter. Sam's second encounter is slated to release soon. Both titles are priced at $9.99, each. en more serious action and cheesy one-liners that couldn't be serious even if Sam's life depended on it. As the heroic Sam "Serious" Stone, an unstoppable force and immovable object all packed in one herculean body, you're the only hope Humanity has against the extraterrestrial overlord Notorious Mental, who intends to utterly destroy our race. OK, so there's a story behind all this, but really all that matters in Serious Sam is turning off your higher brain functions and obliterating wave after wave of undead, alien and demonic cannon fodder naÃ¯ve enough to think they can stop you.
