It appears that EA and CryTek have delayed Crysis 2 until the first quarter of 2011 (January till March). No reason for the delay was given, but the reason might be technical. Crysis 2 was originally scheduled to ship during this fall for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. We moved to the game to a better marketing window in the March quarter," Jeff Brown, VP of Corporate Communications told IGN. "This will also give the Crytek team more time to polish a great title.

They just need new cards available, so they can at least show some playable framerates. Radeon 6000 series is rumored to launch before year end and Nvidia is rumored to be preparing a dual chip GF104 card.
