  • Phenom II X6 Reviews Roundup -  While clock for clock, speed for speed, the Intel i7 980X brings the 1090T to its knees, but if you factor in the costs of each one and the price to performance ratio then they start to equal out. The current pricing for the Intel 980X is about $999 just for the processor and when released the Phenom II X6 1090T will cost only around $285 which is almost a quarter of the price of the 980X. For that price, you could also add all of the components of the Leo Platform including the motherboard and a 5800 series graphics card, so comparing apples to apples is fine if the apples cost the same. If you look at the price per core, the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T calculates to about $50 per core versus about $166 per core for the Intel i7 980X. Disable all but two of the Intel cores and run the tests and I bet that the AMD Phenom II X6 price for price will take away the competition.
  • GeForce GTX 480- Worth upgrading from Radeon HD 5870? - If you have already have a 5870, I don't really think you will see much of a difference moving to the GeForce GTX 480
  • AMD FirePro V5800 and V3800 Tested - With half of the shader processors of the V8800, the V5800 performed right in that window in the tests with CineBench and SPECviewperf. The V3800 was obviously much lower than that - expected again with the drop to 400 shader processors and the slim $109 price tag. Compared to the NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800, the V5800 looks like a fantastic performer as well. In a few cases the FX 3800 did beat out the V5800, but not usually by much. When the AMD FirePro took the lead though it was more dominant and of course the severe price difference doesn't hurt either.

You can use it for speedy backups or moving large amounts of data between USB 3.0-ready systems or just sit there and read and write to it to see how fast it can go.

  • 1.5M stolen Facebook IDs up for sale - A hacker named Kirllos has a rare deal for anyone who wants to spam, steal or scam on Facebook: an unprecedented number of user accounts offered at rock-bottom prices. Researchers at VeriSign's iDefense group recently spotted Kirllos selling Facebook user names and passwords in an underground hacker forum, but what really caught their attention was the volume of credentials he had for sale: 1.5 million accounts. IDefense doesn't know if Kirllos' accounts are legitimate, and Facebook didn't respond to messages Thursday seeking comment. If they are legitimate, he has the account information of about one in every 300 Facebook users. His asking price varies from $25 to $45 per 1,000 accounts, depending on the number of contacts each user has. To date, Kirllos seems to have sold close to 700,000 accounts, according to VeriSign Director of Cyber Intelligence Rick Howard.

While he's probably had better days than today, he's lately been shooting off emails left and right in response to customers' concerns. We just were sent what appears to be one such Jobs response, sent last week surrounding the whole Mark Fiore situation. And it's a good one. When questioned about Apple's role. When questioned about Apple's role as moral police in the App Store, Jobs responds that 'we do believe we have a moral responsibility to keep porn off the iPhone.' Better, is what he said next: 'Folks who want porn can buy and [sic] Android phone.'Looks like I'm buying an Android phone ;-)

Following the issuing of a warrant from the Judge of the Superior Court of San Mateo, CA, officers seized four computers and two servers from his residence. The warrant clearly states that the search was for any material surrounding the controversial iPhone 4G prototype, and that anything deemed related to the iPhone prototype would be brought in and analyzed by forensic experts for any signs of misconduct or felony. Now Gizmodo considers suing police after iPhone raid.

  • Hypersonic Air Force Glider traveling mach 20 disappeared - The Falcon is a different type of weapon, it's equipped with high-power, but non-nuclear explosives that should remain undetected by nuclear defense systems. Gizmodo editor Jason Chen gets house raided, assets seized

they took a fucking router? wtf who supports these fucking braindead retards, fucking scumbags and unlawful theft really!

And Apple we still don't know if your stupid employee deliberately left the shity ibrick on purpose for media attention. You guys are whinny assholes (and fucking hypocrites for anyone who read that boring information gizmodo released and then agrees with shitty Apple and the dumbscum raiders for what they do) who really deserve to get burned in hell for there own stupidity and way of dealing with this situation which they could have avoided but obviously wanted to do it this way in first place.

" Now Gizmodo considers suing police after iPhone raid"

damn fucking right they should, make crApple and these raiding scumbags get a bad name for what they do. Sickening low life ignorant scum drones go raiding houses like that and crApple is the kind of scum company among many other greedy deceiving corporations supporting such police state schemes.

doodah(05:35 PM CEST - May,02 2010 )
On the other hand, if the phone was genuinely lost then the police are doing the right thing. It's a stolen prototype phone and they know where it is or at least was at some point.

I personally feel Gizmodo are the ones at fault here, but that's just me..

Koogle(07:08 PM CEST - May,02 2010 )
It seems you haven't read the story.. http://gizmodo.com/5520438/how-apple-lost-the-next-iphone

Apple are fucking retards.

"police are doing the right thing"

The police never do the right thing anymore they don't work for the public they work for deceiving criminals in the system, government, corporations, unlawful enforcement dictated as morally justified as the right thing through lies and propaganda by mainstream braindrained media etc. So yeah they are a bunch fucking drones with the IQ cap of a monkey. Doing the right thing would actually require critical thinking and reasoning which they don't have (its why they joined to uphold corruption and bad laws because they are too stupid to realize who they are working for). They just do what they are told like good little useful no brain idiots. And as the wrong thing has already been done by Apple's incompetence to just get back there ibrick prototype which they did in the end, couldn't have been hard seeing as the guy who original had it, had tried contacting themtards at crApple. Instead they had a hissy fit and wanted to cause a shit storm and used the dumb force to do there dirty work of bashing down doors thieving all of this journalists computer equipment. All because the place he worked for spent $5000 on a shitty dead brick.

"I personally feel Gizmodo are the ones at fault here"

No its crApple and the employees fault for being dumb cunts right from the start. If crApple didn't want the shit brick back, he had a every right to sell that junk. Trying to punish others for your own stupidity just because you're have a financial power from selling crap to idiots and can fund a your own REACT dumb squad is disgusting behavior! But it does just go to show what corporations are really like, above the law, behind the law and getting bad law reforms in to suit there own greedy interests and law unto themselves.

Finders keepers, losers weepers. Ever hear that?

#1 If anything should happen, the guy who left it in the bar should get fired.

#2 The company should also improve their security that they have some employee walking around with an unreleased phone.

#3 All this was was marketing for Apple.

doodah(05:30 PM CEST - May,03 2010 )
Tom> Finders keepers, losers weepers. Ever hear that?

Ever heard of someone being arrested for handling stolen property?

Or perhaps theft by finding? (Although admittedly, not all states have that law..)

And Koogle, what should the guy that found the phone have done? He should have given it to the damn bartender, not taken it home to play with! If the guy that lost it found out 1/2hr later, what would he have done? Gone back to the bar to ask if someone had handed it in, ofc!

Apple probably didn't even know they'd lost it at that point, so why should they believe some guy ringing up claiming he had their prototype?
