  • CPU Round-up: $100 - $200 Intel and AMD Processors Tested - In a nutshell, if you are looking to spend ~$200 on a CPU then we recommend the Core i5 750 without exception. At the half way point of $150 we recommend either the Phenom II X4 925 or the Core i3 540 depending on your needs, and as much as we like Intel’s offering here we are leaning towards the Phenom II X4. Finally, at $100 it’s all AMD and we feel the Phenom II X2 555 is the best option here.
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 Overclocking with Voltage Adjustment - TweakTown posted an article on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 Overclocking with Voltage Adjustment. The first thing we have to say is that this isn't practical. When we say that we mean it's not practical in the sense that you cannot have the fan running at 100% when you're gaming; honestly 82dB is loud. I mean - it's really loud! ;)

  • Infected XP owners left unpatched - According to BBC, some of the latest security updates for Windows XP will not be installed on machines infected with a rootkit virus. A rootkit is sneaky malware that buries itself deep inside the Windows operating system to avoid detection. Microsoft said it had taken the action because similar updates issued in February made machines infected with the Alureon rootkit crash endlessly. The latest updates can spot if a system is compromised by the Alureon rootkit and halt installation.

The files were discovered on a jailbroken iPhone running the 4.0 SDK, which found native Facebook integration built into the phone. It's hard to tell exactly what the feature does, or even how it works right now, but the file system shows support for linking contacts with Facebook to your contacts on your phone. The Facebook app already allows photo syncing with contacts, but this will now be integrated into the phone.

In fact, they want you to buy their new HX803-series Bravia 3DTV that is going on sale in Europe this June that they are bundling 4 free 3D PS3 games with it.
