Silent Hunter 5 recalled in Germany - briefly
(hx) 01:32 AM CET - Mar,13 2010 - Post a comment
Publisher Ubisoft has recalled the collector's edition of Silent Hunter 5: Battle Of The Atlantic in Germany, reportedly over the game's inclusion of 'WWII symbols'. Apparently, some offending World War II-related symbols (swastikas) were left in some of the bonus content, which violates German law. German law allows swastikas to be displayed in art, as long as it is done in context. Unfortunately, German law doesn't see videogames as art.

This move does not affect the regular edition of the game.
