- Bad Company 2 lacks console, rentable dedicated
servers - A thread in the EA UK forums for
BC2 mentions that the PC port of the game will lack console support.
DICE says that the game lacks console support in order to prevent
hacking. In other Bad Company 2 news comes word from Eurogamer that the game's
dedicated server support isn't as it appears. Server admins won't be
able to build and host their own dedicated servers, instead you'll have
to rent them. DICE has explained that it does not receive
a profit from the rental servers players of Bad Company 2 will have to
use to the play the game. The public PC Beta for BFBC2 opens January 28
and runs through February 25. Game will be release on March 5.
- Mass Effect 2 DLC details leaked -
Norwegian newspaper DagBladet is reporting DLC will
likely be available day one or soon thereafter for Mass Effect 2.
DagBladet says the usual items like armor and weapons will be
available, but also other things, such as an unlockable planet and even
a new ally by the name of Zaeed Messani, the grizzled bounty hunter
pictured above. The piece also mentions an in-game store for unlocking
DLC called "Cerberus Network," which sounds a lot like Dragon Age:
Origins' DLC platform.
- Beyond Good and Evil 2 still in development -
Both G4.tv and IGN have confirmed with Ubisoft
that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in production. Although that's all
we have about the progress of the game we can speculate that it may be
a while before we see the game since Ubisoft didn't list it as a game
that will come out in their next fiscal year.

time in the future. This recent delay hasn't prevented some shiny new
screenshots and a trailer showcasing the Toyota FT-86 concept car from
hitting the open road. Polyphony Digital's head honcho Kazunori
Yamauchi told USA Today a little earlier this month
that they were only 90% done with the ultimate racing simulator. They
are currently working on finishing up that last 10% as well as
polishing up the rest
