Division 9 was Irrational's zombie shooter (video) - movie
(hx) 07:50 PM EST - Jan,13 2010 - Post a comment / read (3)
Looks like Irrational Games, developers of BioShock, had their own Left 4 Dead-like title in development years earlier; one that was never completed. It was titled Division 9. It had the same premise: drop players in a city full of zombies and limited resources and require strategical action between the players involved in order to get to safety.

Now Irrational Games has a few job openings that suggest an unannounced multiplayer shooter is in the works at their Boston studio. They have posted openings for a Multiplayer Level Designer "familiar with the current state of the art in game design across a wide range of genres on both PC and console," a programmer with "experience with Unreal Engine technology," and a level builder with "experience creating first-person levels using Unreal, Quake, Half-Life or similar technologies for commercial titles (this must be demonstrated through actual levels created for these engines)."

That looked more like rainbow squad game with zombie AI, and the turtle walk speed? I guess it was just a early test.

Anyway it could have had potential, they should have carried on working on it.. lets face it the source engine is in need of a revamp anyway, so they were at a good head start with that really.

finally real zombie speed and not like l4d zombies on speed

yeah I was talking about the player speed though .... I'd go nutz if my player controls only allowed me to go through a level at that walking pace, the zombie crawl speed is fine, though not very challenging.
