Review - In real world gaming we see that that Phenom II 955 wins again over its older
predecessors, but is still not able to get the win over Intel.
- Apple's New 13inch Macbook Pro - Video Review - The
machine also features a LED-backlit screen
with a higher color gamut than most notebooks, a backlit keyboard, and
a 7 hour battery that actually lasts about 7 hours, which reaffirms
Apple's reputation of advertising realistic battery life claims. A
number of other features like a built in iSight webcam, a Superdrive
(CD/DVD reader and writer), a Magsafe power adapter and for the first
time for Apple a built in SD card reader--all in a package that's about
4.5 pounds--make this one heck of an attractive little notebook. The
one we tested was the lower end model equipped with a 2.26GHz Intel
Core 2 Duo processor with 1066MHz frontside bus and 4GB (two 2GB
SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 memory.

0 - Win 7 - Would the average consumer buy a
storage setup like this? Well, I'm sure every tech enthusiast would
want it,
but at a cost close to $4000 USD just for the storage part of the
system, it is out of reach of many. However, it is very interesting to
see in this technology demonstration what storage technology today is
capable of at the ultra high-end and what consumers can expect in the
years ahead.
- Windows 7 Upgrade Chart - This is
supposedly the official Windows 7 upgrade chart
from Microsoft. It looks like all Vista installs except Starter can do
a 32-bit to 32-bit upgrade and keep all your files, same with 64-bit to
64-bit. Windows XP owners will have to do a clean install after backing
up your files.

their update for Leopard, bringing it up
to version 10.5.8.
- Mac OS X 10.5.8 Plugs Six Critical Holes - Apple's Mac OS X 10.5.8
update fixes 18 vulnerabilities, six of which are critical flaws. That
means the bugs could open the door to attackers to hijack a computer by
tricking victims into viewing malicious image files on the Internet. I
advise all three of you that need the update should head over now and
get it
- Google to acquire On2 technologies for $106
Million - Google says it is buying On2,
a provider of digital video compression technology, for $106.5 million.
On2 is well known for compressing high quality video ready for
streaming on IP networks. On2's compression technologies power the
video in many of today's leading desktop and mobile applications. On2
customers include Adobe, Skype, Nokia, Infineon, Sun Microsystems,
Mediatek, Sony, Brightcove, and Move Networks.
- Touchable hologram demonstrated (video) -
Researchers from The University of Tokyo have demoed a
touchable hologram at Siggraph 2009.
The project, called Touchable Holography, involves the use of Wiimotes
placed above the display to track hand motion, and an airborne
ultrasound tactile display created in the university's lab to create
the sensation of touch.

- New Mercedes E-Class Estate 2010 Video - Check
it out! Whether the load-lugging model will come to America
remains to be seen, but I look forward to seeing it in the flesh at the
Frankfurt Motor Show all the same.
- Trailer for Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones - Paramount
has debuted the trailer for Peter Jackson's The Lovely
Bones starring Saoirse Ronan, Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz,
Susan Sarandon, and Stanley Tucci. Paramount is bringing The Lovely
Bones to theaters everywhere on December 11th.
- Awesome Red Band Zombieland Trailer - official -
Sony has debuted a second
red band trailer
for Zombieland starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Emma
Stone. We've seen quite a bit from this so far, including a trailer and
even our set visit piece, but there is still plenty more to see, that's
for damn sure! Sony will be bringing Zombieland to theaters on October
9th this fall.
- The Vampire's Assistant Trailer - Universal
has debuted the trailer for The Vampire's Assistant.
Word is: "Pulled into a fantastic life of misunderstood sideshow freaks
and grotesque creatures of the night, one teen will vanish from the
safety of a boring existence and fulfill his destiny in a place drawn
from nightmares." Universal is bringing The Vampire's Assistant to
theaters on October 23rd this fall.
- To the edge of space in a spyplane! (video) -
James May from Top Gear U.K. takes an
emotional ride to the edge of space in a U2 spyplane. Amazing!
- Lost Generation (video) - Using only narration and text,
this inspiring video uses a clever trick to make its point about being
alive in this generation.
- Madonna - Celebration Official New Single 2009 -
Madonna plans to release her definitive greatest hits
compilation Celebration on September 29th as
both a single and double album.

girl has got it going on from top to bottom ain't no doubt
