Doug Lombardi has confirmed to Joystiq that a multiplayer demo for Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 is planned for both the Xbox 360 and PC. According to Valve's PR guru, users who pre-order the upcoming zombie survival title at 'participating retailers or [via] Steam' will gain 'advanced access to the demo,' which will eventually land on both platforms for all users prior to the game's November 17 launch.

you're meant to try the demo and then decide if you want to buy the game...

I pre-order (ie give valve my money early) and then play the demo which I then think still stinks too much of consolized shit.. can I get my money back?! Or will the excuse be that its just a beta.. you can pay us to make our game better cus hiring decent playtesters is just stupid when we can get nubs to pay us to do it instead.

I think I made my mind on this game.. its gonna be the same consolized shit from valve again with shity console match making and online gaming nub scrap.. I think they've lost the plot and nothing i've heard from this l4d2 game sounds like a decent enough update.. I'll wait for the demo... the one where I don't buy it, to try it.

I fully agree. The demo should be ALWAYS for free prior the game release!
