Piranha Bytes (Gothic maker) has released the first in-game footage from its upcoming action-RPG, Risen. The game is due out on PC and Xbox 360 later this year, with publisher Deep Silver telling TeamXbox that a playable demo will arrive as that time draws closer.

Why oh why cant game developers made there own textures and objencts instead of using the what comes with the engine. Took me 1 sec to se this was the crysis engine.

Actually, as far as I know, it's their own engine, developed in-house. Anyway, other than a few tropical plants, I don't see any resemblance to Cryengine2.

oh, look so much cryengine, but on there website they say: There will be a new graphic engine used in this game, it is licenced, but big part of it is independently developed.
