Developers at SCE Studios Santa Monica just stated that some sequences seen in
God of War III "are so violent, they are never going on the Internet --
at least, not by us." How brutal could it possibly be? In the Official
PlayStation Magazine, it is explicitly described how you will
see Kratos gut out a centaur in vivid, graphic detail, stomach, guts,
intestines and all oozing out of the poor beast. Apart from that gore,
there will also be some real-time action, such as Kratos fighting on
the back of a character who's climbing up a mountain. God of War III
director, Stig Asmussen, waxes poetic about the epic scale of the game,
describing it as having single level from the game's predecessors being
able to "fit in the palm of a Titan's hand" in this latest franchise
installment. The developers concluded that "[the scenes] are just not
appropriate for some audiences." Oh well, I cannot wait! God
of War III is slated to arrive later this year. |
