Those of you with those ultra-rigs should be in for a treat as a Fallout 3 HD Texture pack has been released. This 398MB fan-created pack swaps many of the textures in Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG sequel with higher-resolution replacements, upgrading the visuals in the game, though this also places greater demands on your system. You can download it over at BigDownload, Exp.de, GH.

OK So I was running ultra and I unrared this to my game directory and I really dont notice a difference. Is there anything else your supposed to do besides unzip it to the game directory?

Just download the HD package and unpack the files into the Fallout 3 folder. After that you open the FALLOUT.ini which can be found in the following locations: • C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Fallout3 (Vista) • C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 (XP) Search for the entry "bInvalidateOlderFiles=0" and replace the zero with a one (1).
