Windows 7 to Include Automatic Game Update Check - tech

It looks like that Microsoft is planning to incorporate more robust PC gaming functionality into Windows 7. This screenshots indicate that the games startup menu in the current build of Windows 7 includes an option to automatically alert users to updates for PC games. An option box to allow Windows to auto-download "information and news about games and game providers" is also shown. Windows 7 is expected to be released in January 2010.

I wonder if we will see another wave of game comparison trailers sporting amazing DX11 or DX12 graphical features, along with a funky Microsoft website giving Tetris as an example of that dowdy old DX10 API and some high poly NPC models that have nothing to do with DirectX as a great example of why we should buy Windows 7! :]

I bet DX11 will make us appreciate even this crappy DX10. That's how crappy it's gonna be.
