IGN has a Q&A with BioWare writer Drew Karpyshyn, the lead writer on
Mass Effect.
- Gods & Heroes Impressions - This particular demonstration was
being run with four player characters total each with three minions. For
those unfamiliar,
one
of the special features of this particular MMO is the Pokemon-like aspect of
collecting minions that will act as your own personal squad. They'll
come with control options to help maximize their tactical value in combat.
- The Club preview - In development for the PS3 and the PC,
The Club is an arcade-style third-person shooter that appears to borrow
more than a few gameplay mechanics from developer Bizarre Creations' popular
Project Gotham series of racing games.

- Final Sam And Max Season 1 Episode Released - Telltale Games has
now released as a
separate download the sixth and final chapter in Season 1 of their Sam
and Max episodic adventure game series. In related news, the
Telltale Games Blog reveals details about the
Sam & Max season set bonus disc contents, to be available in June for
those who have purchased the entire first season for just the cost of
shipping.
- Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword Coming July 23 - 2K Games sent
out an announcement that Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, the
upcoming and latest expansion pack for the historical strategy game from
developer Firaxis, will be released to store the week of July 23 in the US
and at the end of July internationally.
- Monster Madness Delayed Slightly - Originally set for release to
stores next week the game is now scheduled for release on the week of May
29.
- Tomb Raider Anniversary Dated - Eidos announces June 1 as the
European street date for
Tomb Raider
Anniversary on PC and PS2, saying the PSP edition will follow "very
shortly" (the North American date has already been set as June 5.

Lost Planet PC Demo Coming May 15 -
Capcom has announced that the demo for the upcoming PC port of their
Xbox 360 sci-fi action game Lost Planet will be released on May 15.
- Cryptic Studios Free Animation Tool - Cryptic Studios, the team
behind City of Heroes and City of Villains has released their own
Cryptic Animation Rig
for free for anyone to use under the GNU General Public License.
- BlackSite: Area 51 Xbox 360 Demo Released - Xbox 360 owners have
another new demo to download as they can now grab a single player demo for
BlackSite: Area 51, the upcoming Unreal Engine 3 based first person
shooter from Midway. Walktrough for the demo can be found
here. The game is set to release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and
PC this September.
- Halo 3 Beta Impressions (Xbox 360) -
EvilAvatar (+new
video) and
FiringSquad have Halo 3 Beta Impressions. They wrote: "The graphics
aren't groundbreaking right now, but they are a step up from Halo 2 with
higher resolution models, top quality textures, fancy lighting, and pretty
shader effects. Overall there are lots of welcome changes, and lots of new
weapons and gadgets to play with."
