S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:Shadow Of Chernobyl patch 1.0001 - patch

The first patch (local mirror - US version | local mirror - Int.version) for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl has been released, updating the recently released first person shooter from GSC GameWorld and THQ up to version 1.0001. The patch fixes some windows Vista compatibility issues, tweaks a bunch of items, addresses various bugs and crashes etc. Another mirrors: FileFront (US version), FileFront (Int.version), FileShack, SI (US version) SI (Int.version), WP.

Please note that Saved games from previous versions will NOT work with the patch.

It makes start from the beginning of the game again - doesn't tell you until after you've installed it, that you can't load a previously saved game! As if anyones finished it yet - ALOT of people are gonna be ****** off with this!

Anyways, I'm at the last main mission already, about to go up to the Chernobyl NPP level. Being sick over a weekend can be fun. But there is no way in hell I'm starting over. Guess I'm never patching it.

Oh well, the only issue I have is the stuttering and that only happens when I sprint across the whole map. For some reason the game is only allocating 256mb of ram, maybe giving it a solid 1gb will help it out. Gotta find that cmd.
