As promised, Electronic Arts has released a playable demo (local mirror) for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, allowing you to try out their upcoming 3D real-time strategy sequel by EA Pacific. The demo includes one tutorial mission, two single-player missions featuring live action video sequences, one skirmish map with three different difficulty settings, and one trailer featuring Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Michael Ironside. The 1.2GB download can also be found on EA Link, 3D Downloads, 3DGamers, 4players.de, CGO.ro, EA-FTP, eXp.de, FanGaming, FileShack, Fragland, GH, Internode, SI, Torrent, VGPro and WP.

Update: The C&C 3 Support Forums have a temporary workaround for audio/video sync issues with the demo

Its going to have be better than Company of Heroes to pull me away from that. And no, I'm not downloading a 900 mb demo of a game that I probably won't play even after it comes out. I haven't enjoyed C&C since Red Alert (1). Actually I dont like most RTSs in general, very few stick out to me. IE Starcraft, Company of Heroes and Age of Mythology

i played it last night straight after it came out.

what can I say about it? It friggin rocks.. and I want to buy it right now.

the engine looks really similar to the BFME2 engine, just with major work put into shaders/ building/ and units and animations... so you'll play and almost feel like its BFME but its definetly got that C&C3 feel to it. Its a great game, and totally smacks Supreme Commander in the face, but then I'm sure they knew C&C3 was there big competition so i hope there advertising has paid off cus C&C3 is coming real soon, just not soon enough :(

Yeah, it's a keeper. Graphics scale pretty well. Can look Generals and lower, but also not much higher. Limited to 30FPS. Gameplay is all you expect from C&C. GG.

That was an impressive demo! God, the good ol' days with FMV have changed a bit eh? :P Plays like a dream! It set my system at full settings with level 1AA and it had no problem in the campaign with dozens of units and...those explosions! :shock: Yep ,it's definately on my list.

Goto Skirmish:
Click the race selection tab, but do not select any. Move your mouse over the Nod selection and at the same time press N and click the mouse. It may take a few tries but it does work! Can also make the enemy GDI.(G + Mouse Click)

You can also use this trick to select the AI traits. Just use the first letter and click the mouse while it is highlighted.

Using the same method you can play against GDI by holding the "g" key while selecting GDI for the computer.

This game is awesome, better than I hoped or expected. The game play is a little faster and the engine is much improved. They made some smart design changes to the way things happen and also to the user interface. The movies are excellent and it looks like pretty much the same actors. Only gripe is I wish I could zoom out more and really enjoy the view but it's limited in this sense. The maps are awesome.

I wish i could zoom the camera right in behind, Company of Heroes style.

1. Run the Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Demo.

2. Press Alt + Tab to minimize the demo and switch back to Windows.

3. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up the security prompt and click on "Task Manager".

4. Select the "Processes" tab and look for DemoGame.dat in the list.

5. Right-click on DemoGame.dat, select "Set Priority", and then select "AboveNormal" from the submenu -- this option is one step up from the default "Normal" setting.

6. Windows will prompt you with a similar warning. Select "Yes".

7. Switch back to the game by clicking on the button in the Windows task bar.

The syncing issue should be resolved the next time you watch a video in the game. Note: You will need to repeat this procedure each time you run the demo.

And again, this is just an intermittent fix, we have the official fix in the game, so not to worry.
