Crysis Delayed, The Sims 3 & Sim City Announced - briefly

Electronic Arts' Q2 2007 earnings conference call, the company revealed that
Crytek's anticipated shooter Crysis has been pushed back to EA's next fiscal
year, which begins April 1, 2007. A specific release date was not given. The
reasons behind the delay is not revealed. Also from the EA conference call
mentioned above is a report
on FiringSquad that development has commenced on The Sims 3, though a next
installment in the wee people was an obvious sure thing. The game is expected
during EA's fiscal 2009, which begins on April 1, 2008. The conference also
confirmed a new Simpsons game that will be released around the same time
as the upcoming movie version of the TV series this summer, a revival of EA's
Road Rash series of motorcycle racing games, a new game in Maxis' Sim City
titles and a new installment of Criterion's Black first person shooter series
that will be made for next-gen consoles. EA execs also mentioned a new game in
the Sims series that is being made especially for Nintendo's Wii console. |
