Valve Software has released the fifth trailer (262MB) for Half-Life 2: Episode Two, revealing more of the second installment in Valve's first episodic trilogy. This week's release of movies (#2, #3, #4) concludes with a look at the expansive outdoor environments, new creatures, and weapons included in Episode Two. Targeted for release in Q1 2007 on the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, Half-Life 2: Episode Two will also include Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Another mirrors: 3DGamers, GH.

I guess there's no point in commenting further on this flurry of "trailers", but jeez, leave something for the people to experience for themselves.

The only way I'm getting excited about more half life crap is if they give up the 100%-linear-gameplay crap and leave it up to the player a little more. Maybe something like COD2 would work. Let you pick which things to do first and have a bunch of patrols walking around that you have to deal with.

I think they’re stretching this episodic content idea a bit too far.

definitely

actually EP3 won't be playable, it will be a 2.5 hours long cinematic.. uh.. achinima.. split in 6 sub-episodes delivered on Steam
