The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Patch 1.1 Beta - patch

Bethesda has released a beta v1.1.425 patch for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. There doesn't appear to be any gameplay changes but you can read the fairly lengthy patch notes here with a number of bug, quest and plugin fixes.
- Fixed an issue with falling through collision in Fort Wooden Hand.
- Fixed issue with remapping controls in French, German, Italian and Spanish versions.
- Fixed issue with crashes on exit.
- Fixed issue with some shadows not lining up.
- Going to jail while equipped with bound armor or weapons no longer crashes the game.
- Fixed issue with bound weapons not dispelling properly after dismounting a horse.
- Fixed issue with player shadow being delayed after fast travel.
- Fixed infinite gold issue on some dead NPCs.
- Fixed issue with disease resistences that made it impossible to contract vampirism under certain circumstances.
- Fixed an issue where occasionally skills would not increase properly after you received an increase in a way other than skill uses like as a quest reward.
- Fixed issue where spells, powers and lesser powers were being improperly resisted when the player cast them on themselves.
- Fixed an issue where creatures and NPCs would not go into combat properly after being hit by a projectile.
- Fixed an issue with duplicating items and unequiping the bow.
- Fixed an exploit that allowed you to sell equipped items to a vendor more than once while on a horse.
- Fixed an issue with items reappearing in dead bodies after saving and reloading.
- Fixed crash when NPC with active light spell on them unloaded from memory.
- New Ultra Low Quality graphic setting available under Launcher options with improved support for low end FX cards (5700 and lower). To use this setting, go to the Launcher, select Options and click Reset to Defaults to allow the auto detect to check your system.
- Implemented SLI-mode optimizations on Nvidia cards, and Crossfire optimizations for ATI cards.
Update: Bethesda's new 1.1 beta patches fixes a lot problems in the game, but introduces a few more for those using replacement textures and mods. Atomic's popular 'Into Modblivion' guide has been updated with information on how to get LOD textures working again and mods operating properly with the new patch. (thanks Ashton Mills)

I found something really fun to do in Oblivioin. Getting out of the map..jump on tree to tree..Weeee.. take out the baddies from on top of trees and rocks and just go have fun putting 20 some arrows in your enemy. Last night as I was fighting some 'painted creatures' I got out of the map really easily.. so cool. I got into this huge area that looked like a big flat sandy beach. I must have run forever to the point where had I not had my compass I would have been lost outside of the map..There are so many ways to exploit Oblivion when fighting it's crazy. Once while fighting in some caves I got on the other side of the rocks and was swinging my sword through the rock face killing the bad guys, their magic spells would hit the wall a dissipate, lmao... This game has so many holes it's hilarious..I can even walk along a mountain that's literally straight down without falling. I didn't know they had sticky tape on their boots! I've almost lost focus of what I am doing because I'm having so much fun taking advantage of all these problems.

I was the same for the first couple of days, just finding out weird things, but mostly by accident.
I've noticed imps stuck in the sky at around 300 ft just flying around, very bizarre, and once I cast a fireball spell at a bandit and he was catapulted a mile away :lol:
I have since started again though, with 1.23 of Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul mod, the game is pretty crappy with the default levelling system.
