Quake 4 Demo - demo
(hx) 03:26 AM EST - Nov,24 2005 - Post a comment / read (1)
id Software has released the promised playable demo (local US mirror ~ 327MB) for Quake 4, allowing you to try out this sci-fi first-person shooter sequel by Raven Software. This demo contains a single-player mission from the start of the game "where you, as Matthew Kane, battle with Rhino Squad to clear a landing zone for the main earth forces", along with the multiplayer maps "The Fragging Yard" and "The Fragging Yard 1v1".

Another mirrors: 3DGamers,, FileFront, FileNuts, FileRush, GH, VGPRo, WP.

Update: Activision informed us that the Quake 4 demo was released inadvertently and that the multiplayer portion does not work online. An updated demo will be released early next week with working online multiplayer.

are we really supposed to STILL believe that the demo "was released inadvertently" ?

it's been done enough times before (or games publishers are horribly clumsy "whooops, i clicked on 'Post the demo' but it's not done yet ^^")
