Vivendi Universal announced
today that
F.E.A.R. would be getting the "Director's Cut" treatment this October, a
special DVD version to be released alongside the usual deal. This version
comes with a "Making of…" documentary, fictional interviews with a character
from the game, and a machinima short from the guys who do Red Vs. Blue. Pre-ordering the F.E.A.R. Director's Edition DVD with Bonus will get you also get you access to the F.E.A.R. Beta Event running from
August 22nd to September 15th. If that's not enough, they're also throwing in
a F.E.A.R. comic book from Dark Horse, home of some cult favorites like
Grendel, Usagi Yojimbo, and Aliens vs. Predator. To celebrate this event,
Vivendi has released
a new movie trailer (20MB). The clip clocks in at just over two minutes of
of interview and gameplay footage.
