Project Force (PS3) - Project Force runs at 1920x1080 resolution (see
hi-res shots).
The trailer from the conference appears to be fully real time and features
detailed mechs, destructable environments and hot laser effects.

Tech Demos (PS3) -
The
Tokyo PS3 tech demos were, for the most part, the same as those shown at
the system's debut back at E3. However, there were some differences here and
there.
MISCELANOUS...
- Sony's PS3 Schedule -
The
Tokyo Game Show, scheduled from 9/16 to 9/18 will see the PS3 show face in
some form, likely with playable games. The PlayStation Conference will follow
in February of next year, according to the chart, with the PS3 launch
following after that.
- Metal Gear Solid 4 and PES 5 to be revealed next month -
Solid Snake's creator, Hideo Kojima, and Pro Evolution Soccer's Shingo
'Seabass' Takatsuka
will reveal the very first in-game footage of their latest titles in
August. The location will be the Leipzig Games Convention, running from 17 to
21 August, and Kojima is expected to use the event to reveal the latest
developments of MGS 4, including the first glimpse of the PS3 game in action.
- Xbox Live Hits The 2 Million Mark -
This year the big news is that the Xbox Live community has doubled in half
the time, bringing the total number of subscribers to two million.
- Xbox 360 to feature parental control system -
The Xbox 360 will feature a parental locking system that can be used to
prevent children from accessing games unsuitable for their age range,
according to Japanese website Mainichi. Parents will be able to set-up the
console so it will only play games with appropriate age ratings.
- Xbox 360 motherboard leak? - French Xbox modding website claims to
have received an anonymous tip yesterday
with
the picture attached. The image is of low quality and has no legible text.

Winning Eleven coming to PSP - The worlds greatest soccer game
is
coming to Sony's pocket rocket. No word on a US release date, but expect
one.

New Sony PSP Firmware 2.00 Coming Soon -
Playstation Japan (Babelfish

are releasing an updated firmware 2.00 on 27th of July, 2005. The firmware 2.0
will introduce a web browser (HTML 4.01) /video,
pic1,
pic2,
pic3/ and increased versatility in other areas of its multimedia support.
The web browser will be housed in a net network menu.
