City of the Dead E3 trailer - movie
(hx) 06:32 AM EDT - May,21 2005 - Post a comment / read (1)
Here's the E3 trailer (local US mirror ~ 11.3MB) for City of the Dead, the upcoming horror first-person shooter. Developed by Kuju Entertainment and set in the George A. Romero universe, "City of the Dead" will be released on the PC, PS2 and Xbox in spring 2006.
Another mirror: 3DGamers.

Both PC.GN and Gamesradar have posted their E3 impressions:
In a way, COTD sort of resembles a cross between Resident Evil and Soldier of Fortune. That is, the game features an excessive amount of dismemberment and gore, which it is not at all afraid to highlight with a number of cinematic, slow-mo camera swoops, zooms and pans. But unlike Soldier of Fortune, the enemies just keep on coming. Some zombies might be missing arms, some legs, and others might not have half their damn bodies intact, and yet they'll all ceaselessly stumble and crawl toward you, the person they desperately want to kill in a very terrible way. We suppose this is why popping zombie heads like ripe tomatoes seems to be such a commonly reoccurring theme in City of the Dead. It's the only way to stop these bastards!
