MCV is reporting that Human Head's first person shooter, Prey, will be available via online distribution in a partnership with Game xStream. Prey will be released on PC in 2006.

Upcoming PC shooter Prey will be available via online distribution in a partnership with Game xStream - a move that echoes Half-Life 2's recent distribution through Valve's Steam technology. This high-performance delivery system effectively cuts the traditional retail environment out of the route to market.

Game xStream enables publishers to offer games for distribution and sale online, and the company claims the consumer is able to play the game within minutes of initiating the download due to background streaming.

Excellent move! Another title that i wont buy (not that i was anyway). What do these muppets think of? Does the whole world revolve around *them* Like the last i looked the papers weren't saying 'The whole world will be broadband tomorrow" Or "The whole world has credit cards"

Another thing that's crap about this system, is you buy without even getting a chance to find out if it even WORKS on your system -your warned!
