Computer Games - How will X3: Reunion's trading and economic models be changed and/or improved from X2? Greg Kingston - The economy has been rebalanced with input from some of the community. This means that there are more incentives to build a larger variety of different stations and factories and there will no longer just be automatic profits from any one type. So players will have to think a lot more about what they build and where, and also, why. Having got that balance into the game, we also now have the ability to destroy it (or parts of it). Major events now take place in the universe from time to time - the player's factories could easily be caught up in one of these. In my own game in X2, I had one sector with over 40 factories in it. I'm not sure I would do that now...
X3: REUNION - The Sequel to the award winning X˛: The Threat will introduce a new 3D engine as well as a new story, new ships and a new gameplay to greatly increase the variety in the X-universe. The economy of Xł: Reunion will be more complex than anything seen in the X-universe before. Factories are being built by NPCs, wars can affect the global economy, NPCs can trade freely and pirates will behave far more realistically. (714 hits)
