The inventory system has also been changed. Like in most RPGs, the inventory system in Guild Wars was basically a large amount of boxes on a window but for the new beta event ArenaNet has changed that to give it a more realistic feel. Now your characters can have backpacks, bags and other items where they can separate certain items into different sections. The backpack can be used for weapons, while a bag can be added for other items. Gameplay wise, the biggest change in this beta test event is in the quest system. Beforehand you went on quests and, well, you were done with them and you went on the next one. Now the quests that you complete actually have an effect on the world around you. We didn't get a chance to actively see a lot of these changes while playing the beta but if this is the case for the final release of the game it certainly will bring Guild Wars a lot more attention.
